Stop für Microsofts KIN

Noch nichr mal da und schon weg. Wie Engadget berichtet, stellt Microsoft das Projekt KIN (ja, die beiden Social Media Phones) ein. Das war’s dann mit dem Launch für Europa. Persönlich hätte ich mich auf die beide Geräte gefreut, die bis dato ja nur in den USA erjältlich und durchaus beliebt waren. Das Team bei Microsoft, welches für KIN zuständig war, wird Teil des Windows Phone 7-Teams.

Offizielles Statement von Microsoft:
“We have made the decision to focus exclusively on Windows Phone 7 and we will not ship KIN in Europe this fall as planned. Additionally, we are integrating our KIN team with the Windows Phone 7 team, incorporating valuable ideas and technologies from KIN into future Windows Phone releases. We will continue to work with Verizon in the U.S. to sell current KIN phones.”
